Who we are and what this covers
Nickel City Click N Clear LLC ("Click N Clear," "we," "us") operates the Click N Clear mobile application and the website at nickelcityclicknclear.com. Click N Clear is a marketplace where property owners post outdoor work such as lawn mowing and snow removal, and independent contractors bid on that work. This policy applies to both the app and the website. Where a practice applies only to one of them, we say so.
What we collect
Account information. When you create an account we collect your name, email address, phone number, and a password. Contractors also tell us whether they operate as an individual or a company and, for a company, the business name and related business details.
Job information from property owners. When you post a job we collect the property address, the service you want, the yard size, the price you set, the date and time, any special instructions, and any photos you upload.
Contractor information. Contractors set a service area, submit a certificate of insurance before they can take jobs, and connect a payout account through Stripe. We keep the certificate you upload and a record of the service area you set.
Activity on the platform. Bids, accepted jobs, job status, completions, cancellations, messages sent through the app, earnings and payment history, and support requests you send us.
Device and technical information. The type of device and operating system you use, app version, a push notification token, identifiers used to keep you signed in, and crash or performance data that helps us keep the app working. On the website, our hosting provider processes standard request data such as IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time of the request.
How we use it
We use information to run the marketplace: to create and secure your account, to show posted jobs to contractors who serve that area, to let owners review bids and accept one, to connect the two parties on an accepted job, to process payments and payouts through Stripe, to send notifications about bids, jobs, and payments, to respond to support requests, to prevent fraud and abuse, to keep the app working and improve it, and to meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising by third parties.
Payments and payouts
Payments run through Stripe. When a property owner pays, card details are entered directly with Stripe and Click N Clear does not receive or store the full card number. Contractors connect a Stripe account to receive payouts, and Stripe collects the identity and bank information that it requires for that account. Stripe's handling of your information is described in Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy. We receive transaction records, payout status, and the information needed to show your earnings and payment history in the app.
Location and photos
Jobs are matched to contractors by the property address the owner enters and the service area the contractor sets. If the app asks to use your device's location and you allow it, that location is used to help set your service area or show nearby jobs, and you can turn it off in your device settings at any time.
Photos you upload to a job are shown to bidding contractors and to the contractor who takes the job. Photos may show your property and anything in view of the camera. Only upload photos you are comfortable sharing for that purpose.
Notifications
The app sends notifications about bids, accepted jobs, job status, payments, and account activity. You can manage push notifications in your device settings. If we send text messages, we will only do so with your consent and you can opt out by following the instructions in the message. Some account and transaction notices are part of the service and are sent while you have an account.
This website
The website is informational. It does not create accounts, accept payments, or use a web contact form. Contact links open your own email service, and any message you send is processed by your email provider and ours. Our hosting and security providers process standard request data to deliver and protect the site.
The website uses Google Analytics, a service of Google LLC, to understand how visitors use the site: which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors come from, and whether they open the App Store or Google Play links. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects your device type, browser, approximate location, and interactions with the site. We do not send it your name, email address, or account information, and we do not use it to serve advertising. Google processes this information under its privacy policy. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser; the site works the same either way.
How long we keep information
We keep account information while your account is active. We keep job, bid, message, and transaction records for as long as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, meet tax and accounting requirements, and comply with law. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify the information we no longer need, and we may retain records we are required to keep, such as transaction records, for the period the law requires.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including secure connections, access controls, and Stripe's handling of payment details. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects private information of New York residents, we will notify affected users and authorities as New York law requires.
Your choices and rights
Access and correction. You can review and update your account information in the app.
Deleting your account. You can request deletion in the app or by emailing info@nickelcityclicknclear.com. We will delete your account and the information described above, subject to the records we are required to keep.
Notifications and location. Manage these in your device settings.
Questions and requests. Email us at the address below. If you live in a state that gives you additional privacy rights, you can use that address to exercise them and we will respond as that law requires.
Age
Click N Clear is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, post a job, or bid on one. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided information to us, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app, the website, or the law changes. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
